Cut down on salt...
Yet another villain when it comes to intellectual and mental development is ...TOO MUCH SALT. Cutting down on your child's salt intake can assist with both their mental development and their memory. Make sure the child is eating a maximum limit of one teaspoon of salt a day as that is all the average child needs. Your child may complain that food tastes less favourable but you need to remember that a taste for salt is an acquired taste. It is something we are born with. If you want your children to do well it is probably a good idea to enjoy food that is not heavily salted from the time they are babies so that they do not develop a taste for it. iet and make sure that they are getting enough DHA to eat.
