It's certainly true that every parent, hopefully, wants the absolute best for their child and to be truly proud of them all throughout the many exciting stages of their lives. Parents are also usually greatly interested in monitoring their children's progress and mental development as they grow and many put a great deal of stock in the practice of taking IQ (intelligence quotient) tests.

Because of this, there are quite a large number of free kid's tests available online for the purpose of measuring their IQ, but are any of these tests really worthwhile, and can you ever be sure of the validity of the scores they will provide?

As is the case when it comes to anything labeled as "free," it's always important to proceed with caution, making sure that the tests you're using or planning on using will be worth the time spent and that the company behind the IQ test is indeed reputable.

Of course you'll want to be confident that the score you are given for your child is as accurate as possible, making it imperative to do a bit of research first to see that the test is thorough and covers all of the necessary subjects such as language, math, reasoning, and comprehension. It should be clearly listed who developed the test, the questions, and how the scoring is determined.

Also, some IQ tests that are supposedly free will still require that a "small fee" be paid before the end score is revealed or before revealing the total score, making the test taking portion of the process free, but essentially useless without the final, completed results. This rather dishonest practice can't help but make one wonder about the integrity of the test itself, or those involved with the scoring process.

For this very reason, you may want to seriously consider paying for an IQ test, at least after allowing your child to take a few free practice tests first to not only help them prepare better and know what to expect, but also to make sure you're really getting your money's worth.

Every parent wants to be proud of their kids and for that reason it seems that at all stages of a child's development, they want to test their children's progress.

For this reason, there are literally hundreds of free kids tests online that can be taken. Unfortunately the standard of many of them leaves much to be desired as is always the case in the 'free' market. For this reason, I would strongly advise that as well as looking and researching the free kids tests market, you also take a look at the paid tests which are out there. In that way, you can be reasonably confident that when you test your child, you are doing it entirely for their benefit as well as yours.

I have research many places on the internet already to try and find the best places to take a test and found the following to be the best:
