Social Skills
The other way of enhancing your children’s IQ is by sharpening their EQ that stands for “Emotional Quotient”. This quotient signifies your children’s capacity to assess and to identify their own emotions and also of others and of groups. By improving your children’s EQ you will actually be able to rear them up as healthy human beings but more so, you will be able to allow them to expand their capability of understanding people in different situations. In order to do this properly, you can show your children some video tapes without the audio facility, and then ask them to judge the characters’ emotions by their facial expressions. You can also show them various pictures and ask them what they think the person in the image is feeling or thinking and why. Through these little puzzles, you can be able to help them build a standard rule regarding people and situations. Do not worry; this process will not breed the problem of stereotyping. This process just builds the base in your children’s minds so that they can apply some common yardsticks to analyze various situations in reality.
